Human Touch Zero Gravity Chair. Wait for their Labor Day, Black Friday sale at Relax Back Store. Eversince I sat on a zero gravity chair at a local spa last year, I got sold on the concept of how sitting at a 90 degree angle helps alleviate stress on your back (remember how our moms told us to raise our legs up before going to bed at night?). The chair at the spa was a demo and they were selling the chair in the $2k and up range. The chair tilts you to a perfect 90 degree angle, making you feel like an astronaut suspended in space. I use this while watching tv.
LaFuma, as shown on right (made in France) which is a portable "camping" chair, made for the outdoors. LaFuma soon realized that most of its customers were using the chairs for indoors and came with a padded version of the chair. Their models range from the basic RSX (mesh), to padded (mellow and more padding on the RPL model). I chose the Mellow model ($249), and although it does not fully recline, I like that is lightweight (30 lbs) and I can easily move it from one room to the next if I want to. Be good to your back!
